reading books, forever and ever...(^_^)
First thing,I agree that Malaysians DO NOT take reading as their daily habits (which I think must be a crime in other parts of the world.)I think the main factor that leads to this scenario is that Malaysians are not nurtured with reading habits since they are babies.Yes,and I do really mean babies.
Children nowadays are rarely tends to read book whenever they have time to spend. they are actually tends to use the time in more interesting activity by looking for entertainment like watching televisions, hanging around with friends and so on.Parents play a big role in the job of encouraging their children to develop interest of reading. They have to be wise in the way how they want to do it. One of the usual example is bringing the children regularly to the public library. Children tend to follow what the elderly doings, so we as an adult have to show our interest in reading habits. Like the US, the government had launched on the campaign 'children see, children do'(or something like that ).
Last but not least, I hope that the Malaysians including me would change their reading habit by makes a reading as one of their hobbies and also that the parents will develop the reading habits among their children from the earliest stage. Thank you.

Time Management
Time is really sometime very valuable and precious for us, no matter who we are. As a student, I am sure that time is something wonderful especially when it is near the time of having exam going just around the corner. Isn't it? For the working adult, they may have to chase behind the time so that they can get their work done well and no need to work overtime after the tiring office hour.
However, I notice that even though time is precious for us, still, we have people that like to waste their time to loiter around. Other than that, when we are attending some special occasion like a talk or a dinner, it seems that nobody like to be puncture and always like to come after the stated time. As for me, I think that this should not be a attitude in our own self.
In my point of view, I think that having good disciplin can help us to manage our time well. When we can disciplin ourselves, i donot see any impossibility for us to not be puncture for attend any occasion. Other than that, good time management also can ensure that we will not be rushing when doing some particular work .
I think that parents and teachers are the main character that should share the information that time management is really a part of our daily lives. This is because they are the earliest people we get to know when we are born in this world. When we get a correct perception from them that having good time mangement can help us a lot when we see from different point of view, it will for sure make us aware what we are actually doing.
Having good time management also make sure that we can be a systematic in our daily life. This is because everyday we have to make good use of ouir time so that we will not wasting in but in state we can use it for other much more meaningfull thing such as serve in the old forks home .
In conclusion, I strongly believe that if we can manage our time well, we will surely gain more good than bad from it.
Books...
Talking about reading books, how many of us really know and enjoy the real meaning and value of reading a book? The answer is definitely a 'No' towards such a question. People nowadays read just for their studies purpose or have to read more in order to fulfill their working requirement, so that they can know more about a particular case and can present it during the meeting.
As for me, I see reading not only as a mean to gain more knowledge but also to entertain myself. I grown up in a family without any television entertainment. When I were still young I always read - newspaper, novels, story books, medical books... everything that I can have, just to equip and expose myself to different kind of knowledge and news that are happening around me. Thus, it has been a habit for me till now. I still enjoy reading novels and it somehow entertains me a lot, also in a very different way.
As I read, it also gives me a very good space to imaging about what is actually happening and this let me to flow together with the storyline. Reading enriches my life a lot, without it I am sure that my life will for sure be a very dull and I will just keep myself in the small towel that I am going to build it around me.
In my point of view, I think that reading habit should be practiced since a very young age. We even can tell story to the little baby who is about age to learn speaking. It really affects them a lot. This will give them a harmony perception towards reading it should not be just a saying only. We must prove it through our own action.
Other than that, school also play a very important role. Normally, the teachers will just ask the students to read and write the summary or report regarding the particular story books. However, is this really a effective way to promote reading in the young, naive spirit? How many students will really read and then write the report according to what they understood about the story? Usually, they will just copy and past the story outline written at the back of the book and pass it up as it was a homework.
In this case, I think that the teachers can put in another way round to promote the reading habit among the students. For example, I think that giving the students an animation or slide show regarding the particular story book a quite a good way to stimulate the student to go and find out that book and read about it. When they watch the animation about the storyline, it will raise their curiosity towards the story and this may help them to proceed more for the further reading.
Besides, the reading festival and also the reading camping that are held by the government show that they also care about the reading and knowledge level that is developing among the Malaysian. Although sometimes all these activities may not help a lot , but it can at least spread some news about the reading habit among the Malaysian and indirectly it serves as a call for all the Malaysian that reading is really important for us, especially in today’s globalisation world. Without skill, technique, and knowledge, it is really hard for us to fight not only among ourselves and also with other countries.
By setting a reading corner in the shopping mall is also quite a good point to look forward. This is because when it is place there it can help to attract people who go shopping. This also can be served as a place for them to have a rest and read some books after tired of shopping. The books should be off wide variety and cannot restricted to some people only. Everybody is welcome to be there.
Thus, in conclusion, everything that we can should be done in order to let today’s people really enjoy reading and have this practice of reading untill we succeed the Japenese.
MOVIE ANSWER
1(b) Catherine and her sister are looking not so close. She said that she hate her own sister. Her sister was describing to conquer and control her life and her sister wasn’t believe that catherine who are the one wrote that book.
2. In my opinion, Catherine is strong character. For example, Catherine still survive eventhough her closest person also said thet she is crazy. At the beginning of the story, Catherine show her weakness which cant accept her father’s death. But when the movies goes on, Catherine show its positive character. Hal and her sister said that the book is not belong to her, but she try hardly to make them believe her words even though finally its too late to prove it.
3.The word that Catherine said at the end of the movie is describing about her life,. She make her life become too harder, and making everyone looking her in negative condition. Our opinion state that Catherine tried to said her regretness about the flowing of her life. Catherine wants to start it from the beginning again so that her life become not complicated as it. If she make her life as in easy way, so that she could be happy at the end of it.
4. The movie want us to learn more about responsibility, believe in ourself, try to reach down inside our heart, and something which impossible is not impossible as we have unshakeable determination and work hard for it. Proverb suitable is where the will is, there’s the way. Since we want to achieve something, that is not impossible as there have the way to make it true.

Reading Is Part Of Our Life
How we want to improve this situation to become better than what we are seeing now. Of course the big solution for this problem is by cultivate our children starting at the young age to read variety of book.We as parents has to start it by read them a story book every day before they sleep. This will attract their interest to know more about the content of the book. Lastly they would fall in love towards reading.
We also can promote reading among people by launch a study corner in the shopping complex. Why we should put it at the shopping complex? It is because shopping complex is the place were many people would come. So it is more easier to attract this people to read books or any other reading materials. The entrance fee of this study corner should be free for every people that come. Then the book should varies according to age of readers and be updated every month. This study corner would increase percentage successful of attracting people interest towards reading.
Beside study corner, mobile library should also be done whether by goverment or none goverment organization. The mobile library should be send especially to rural area which most of them are lack of facility such as library. We always found bigger library such as 'Perpustakaan Negara' where it provide varies of book only at big city. This cause rural areas are not being exposed to the important of reading. Thus by providing mobile library, people especially at rural ares would have an oppurtunities to read.
The content of the book itself should be more interesting to attract our people to read. Lets look at the example of Harry Potter's book which are been written by J.K.Rowling. People are being carzy to by her books although the price are so expensive. The latest addition of her book which title The Deathly Hallow, the price was very expensive, that's about RM120 and above, but its seem has attract many people to buy it.Why is this happen? It is because J.K.Rowling has success in writing the most attracting story. Thus the advice to the new writter or even the old one, create the interesting story so that we can improve reading among our people.
For the conclusion, many thing can be done actually to improve reading habit among our people. It is depend for our people to be aware about the important of reading. A lot of effort also are not use if our people do not appreciate it. So lets change our attitude together and make reading as a part of our life.

Reading- Is fun and Important
Research has shown that a love of reading is more important for children's educational success than their families' socio-economic status or wealth. Yet, research also shows that young people's enjoyment of reading may be declining. Most pupils showed positive attitudes towards reading, with the majority agreeing that reading is fun and important. However, a minority of secondary pupils believed that reading is boring and that they cannot find books that interest them.
In order to encourage good reading habits in children and to give them a love of reading, parents should begin reading to children from infancy. As they become older, toddler age, they will love books, and want to hear more interesting stories.
Starting a book collection for them from such authors as Disney and Dr. Suess, will also help them to develop a love for reading. Before they are able to read, they may pick up the book, look at the pictures and tell a story based on what they see. Not only is it giving them a good idea on how to tell a story, it is teaching them sequence - what happens first, and then, and so on and so on. Once children do learn to read, they will want to read every book they can get their hands on. If you have younger children, the child who knows how to read can encourage the others by showing off his skill at reading and read to the little ones. This really makes them feel special and like the "big brother or sister".
Reading is the best private investment that can make in child’s education, it’s free and makes you feel like the best parent on earth. Just spending ten minutes a day reading something you enjoy with your children can make a real difference.”
National Reading Campaign(NRC) is the first stop for information, resources, news and good practice on promoting the pleasures of reading across all communities, as well as information from the NRC projects: Reading Connects, Reading Champions and the Family Reading Campaign. For your information, Family Reading Matters is a strategy, piloting the difference that a local authority strategic coordinator could make to support the literacy of both children and their parents. It is hoped that this will form the basis of a national strategy to support families in encouraging literacy in the home.
Running a children's library is one of the most satisfying jobs a librarian can perform. The children's librarian should be able to develop children's love for books and encourage them to read. These efforts, in turn, will improve their literacy skills and have continuing impact long after their school.
As conclusion, reading opens doors to everything in life, from applying to jobs to enjoying your favourite hobbies. Apparently, parents playing essential role in encouraging good reading habits in children, and should be started from infancy.
Apart from that, reading is important. So, lets start reading now to develop a literacy society.

ANSWER FOR THE MOVIE
1b) Catherine don't have good terms with her sister because she don't like her sister's character where she is too materialistic and doesn't even care for her family eventhough her sister knows that their father is not well.
2) Catherine is a strong character because she never give up if she really knows that she is not wrong. When she feels something is going wrong, she starts arguing until she is satisfied. Another reason is she takes care of her father alone without relying on anyone for help.

TIME MANAGEMENT
In my opinion, I feel Malaysians have very poor time managemnt. Why I say this is because this is clearly seen in many occasions. For an example when there is a function or an event organised, most of them doesn't attend the function on time. This is actually because they feel the programme itself doesn't begin according to the scheduled time and even the VIP's are not punctual.
Skills on how to manage time properly should be taught since young. So parents and teachers should be responsible in teaching the kids on how to manage their time effectively. Usually school students are trained to plan their time with a timetable but as they grow older timetable is not really necessary because they can plan their time on a daily basis.
The advantages of planning our time is we will not waste our time with unbeneficial things and will always occupy ourselves with what we have planned earlier. This is very important for the teenagers because it will avoid them from involving themselves in any social affairs.
By planning our time well, we will be more systematic and we can finish all our work within the given time. If we don't plan our time well, we will tend to carry forward our work to the next day and the amount of work to be completed will pile up. As a consequence it will make us feel tensed up with our work that is never to be completed.
It is a fact that people who plans their time well, always succeed in life whereas people who don't take time management seriously lacks something in life.
As a conclusion, I would like to emphasis that time management is very important for everyone because it helps each and everyone of us to lead a meaningful life.We should plan our time well and change the trend which is being followed at the moment and be more punctual so that we will not be left out among the community.

TIME MANAGEMENT
There is often an understanding that a small amount of lateness is acceptable; commonly ten or fifteen minutes in Western cultures. In some cultures, such as Japanese society or in the military there basically is no allowance. Some cultures have an unspoken understanding that actual deadlines are different from stated deadlines; for example, it may be understood in a particular culture that people will turn up an hour later than advertised. In this case, since everyone understands that a 9am meeting will actually start around 10am, no-one is inconvenienced when everyone turns up at 10am.
In cultures which value punctuality, being late is tantamount to showing disrespect for another's time and may be considered insulting. In such cases, punctuality may be enforced by social penalties, for example by excluding low-status latecomers from meetings entirely
Acknowledge that you are a person who is having a hard time being punctual. As with any problem, you cannot fix it if you're in denial that it's a problem at all. But if your chronic tardiness is beginning to strain your job or your relationships, the first thing you need to do is acknowledge this as a weakness so you can begin to work toward correcting it. Be conscious of the time.Keep your watch accurate. For some people, moving up the time on their watch will help them be earlier. For others, they will subconsciously know that the time is wrong and so they just disregard it altogether.
Keep a clock, phone, computer or anything that displays time in each room of your house. One of the easiest ways to run late is simply by not realizing that the time is going by as quickly as it is. Set all your clocks and watches to the same time. Don't be an optimist. Things usually take significantly longer than you'd expect, even without major delays. If you have a dinner date at 6:30 PM, don't think you can work in your yard until 6:00, then shower, change, and drive across town and make it on time. Realistically assess the time you will take on each step and then add 10 minutes more to allow for unexpected delays,or you can get to the restaurant first and get a good seat, or if your date's early too, you can spend more time with each other!
Commit yourself to being 15 minutes early for everything. If you have to be to work at 8:00, don't even tell yourself this. Just tell yourself (and everyone else who listens- but dont annoy them or make them think that they are late or early!) "I have to be at work at 7:45." If you do this, you will be on time even with little unforeseen interruptions. You will be on time even with a traffic jam. And on those rare times that you actually show up 15 minutes early; you will get kudos for being an enthusiastic employee. You can also chat with others who are early, and that will make you happy before work!
Bring something you can read in short segments almost everywhere you go. This makes it easy to be early, since in the 10-15 minutes you have before an appointment/event, you can get a few pages of reading done. This makes it feel like you're getting something done (and you are) while you are waiting, if you do have to wait. You can get a ton of reading done this way, too.
The best of intentions is how annoying is it when you don't intend to be late but somehow you just never seem to be on time?Of course everyone can be late for an appointment if circumstances really do go against them - the plane is delayed, there's a huge traffic jam or a thief steals your wallet. This kind of thing may be unavoidable but I'm talking about general bad time keeping. If you are on time 8 times out of 10 then you are a punctual person, but if you are late more often than this then your punctuality could do with a helping hand.
Reasons for poor punctuality is maybe you never seem to leave yourself enough time and always seem to underestimate just how long you'll take to arrive. Perhaps you end up trying to beat the clock on the way to your appointment and arrive stressed and apologetic. Being more punctual is all about good planning and organization and knowing when to act.
The benefits of improved punctuality isw hen you are more punctual then everyone benefits including you. People like knowing and working with reliable people because they know they can depend on them.
organ donation
Organ donation is not a new issue in our country. It has been discussed again and again. Some person afraid to do organ donation because they worry about their sites effect.May be some of them did not get enough information and had a misconception about these programme. There are also controversial issues regarding how organs are allocated between patients. For example, some believe that livers should not be given to alcoholics in danger of reversion, while others view alcoholism as a medical condition like diabetes.
If you’dlike to donate your heart or other organs when you die, be sure to tell members of your family. There are many benefits of argan donation such as gives another chance at life to people who would otherwise die. Besides,It is amongst few acts for which people can remember you for your merciful behavior. Organ donation also i is a beautiful bequest that we can make happen. Since eyes can continue seeing and heart can continue beating, but someone could die without them. In addition, any person can give a new life to at least five individuals. Your eyes can give valuable sight to two individuals. Like this, your organs too, can breathe life into others.
However, organ donation alsa has it own risks. Though process of transplantation is now highly successful, there is always a chance of complications for the donor and the recipient as well. For sure, donation of organs while being alive doesn’t affect the donor’s life, and usually donors live normal lives as they were leading earlier after recovery. People, who donate their one kidney, find no problem as their left kidney slightly enlarge to function normally. The liver is the only organ in the human body that has the ability to regenerate and regain full control. So, people don’t come across any problem. In most cases, the recovery time after the surgery is generally short, and donors can get back to their normal routine within 2 to 6 weeks.
Whatever do you think about organ donation, most importantly it can safe human life and give new hope for the recipient. You can do a good thing when you are alive.T.hrough this organ donation, you also can help the people although you are not exist in these world
WAY TO ENCOURAGE READING HABITS AMONG MALAYSIAN
Here there are some tips on how to encourage malaysian to read the book especially children because they are easily to follow what are we ask to do. As we know, children who come from a home where the parents read personally, and have reading material readily available at their home are much more likely to become readers themselves. At the same time, they are able to encourage their child to read. Other than that, make books available and accessible at home. Usually, children who become readers almost always come from homes where books and other reading materials are present throughout the house and it'll be better if have mini library at home. Futhermore, don't put your children's books out of the way where your child cannot see them or cannot reach them himself. For example at the high or hidden place.
Then, don't forget to give books as gifts at their birthday time, holiday time, or whenever they perfome well at school. This need to be done in order to encourage them to read . There are also so many inexpensive, good books out there and something given or received as a gift becomes more valuable. And parents prefer to do that. Other than that, take children to the library on a weekly or monthly visit, so they can choose their own books that they like and remember that comic books and magazines are a great way to encourage reading and are very useful in teaching children to read. Don't force them to read only the educational books all over the time. Books on tape and CD are also an excellent choice to encourage reading and it can be bring to wherever we like.
Last but not least, the narrator should write the story or article without much fact and in serious tone. This will make people easily bored to read it. So the writer should include the humour or comedy on that article. By introducing e-book also, I think it'll encourage more people to read espacially adult. It can be download from internet to their PDA, handphone or laptop. At the same time, people can read it everywhere and anytime. In addition it also environmental friendly because we didn't use paper and can safe the tree too.
For conclusion, no mattert who we are, we need to read in order to gain information. Reading the books show our intelligent. So, read as long as we still live.

Reading as a habit
There are many reading materials around us, for example, newspapers, magazines and all kind of books. Maybe people feel that reading the words on the paper is a boring job in this technology century, therefore, a new kind of book is being created, that is, electronic book. The words are not lie on the papers anymore, but on the screen of computer and you can bring along it wherever you go. It is very convenience to the people nowadays, you just save the book you want to read in the computer, no matter how many of book you want to read, there is no the thick and heavy of the papers.
Other than that, the government has already put effort into the programs that encourage the people to read more. Many programs have been organized, such as reading festival, reading campaign and so on. Although the efforts did not gain many supports from the public, we cannot deny the efforts were actually make an effect. Many of the people who were take part in those programs know the important of reading and make reading as their new habit now.
Besides, the reading habit should be inculcated among kids. To do that, the role of parents and early education is very important. The parents must tell the children about the benefits of reading and make reading more interesting to draw their attention toward reading. Parents may read them a story before sleep and ask the child read the story in turn on the next day.
All in all, knowledge is a weapon that we can use it to solve the problems. It is not too late to start to read, all we need is the first step. So, do read more, and make reading as one of your habits now!

Are you having a hard time to being punctual? Meeting, dinner, job, family gathering, there are so many appointments you have to attend until you don’t know how to arrange your time, then make you always being late? But if you realized that you are always the late one and the others already think that lateness is your habit, it is the time to correcting it. Being punctual not only is a good habit, but also make others respect you and have a good first impression toward you.
First of all, we should be conscious of the time. Keep the watch accurate or make it faster than actual time. For those who are moving up the time on their watch will help them be earlier. Besides, you may keep a clock, phone, computer or anything that displays time in each room of your house and set all the clocks and watch to the same time.
Second, do not hit the snooze button, linger in bed. Wake up when you are supposed to wake up. . If you have difficulty with this, move your alarm clock to somewhere out of reach from your bed; that way, you have to get up to turn it off. Acquire the habit of sitting up, stretching, and getting out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off. Try sleeping earlier to allow yourself at least 7 hours sleep. By getting up late you are setting a pattern of lateness for the rest of the day.
Next, commit yourself to being 15 minutes early for everything. If you have to be to work at 8:00, don't even tell yourself this. Just tell yourself "I have to be at work at 7:45." If you do this, you will be on time even with little unforeseen interruptions. You will be on time even with a traffic jam. Accidents happen every day, so as the death. Once a person is dead, what will we do upon his/her organ which is still functioning? Just let them go with their master? Just burn them with a fire? Or bury them and let them rotten underground? However, the question is, how many of us are willing to donate our organ after we’re dead. And those who are willing to do so how deep they know about organ donation?
What is organ donation? Organ donation is the removal of the tissues of the human body from a person who has recently died, or from a living donor, for the purpose of transplanting. Why should we consider organ donation? Being an organ donor can make a big difference, and not just to one person. By donating your organs after you die, you can save or improve as many as 50 lives. And many families who have lost a loved one who became an organ donor say that knowing their loved one helped save other lives helps them cope with their loss.
However, there are still many people who do not agree to donate their organ after they are dead. It is because there are many rumors around the society. Such as they are being told that the doctors or the emergency room staff will not work hard to save their life. Their organ will be removed as soon as possible to save others’ life. It is not true at all! .When you go to the hospital for treatment, doctors focus on saving your life — not somebody else's. You'll be seen by a doctor whose specialty most closely matches your particular emergency. The doctor in charge of your care has nothing to do with transplantation.
Other than that, somebody also think that organ donation is against their religion. However, the truth is Organ donation is consistent with the beliefs of most religions. This includes Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam and most branches of Judaism. If you're unsure of or uncomfortable with your faith's position on donation, ask a member of your clergy. Another option is to check the federal Web site OrganDonor.gov, which provides religious views on organ donation and transplantation by denomination.
In conclusion, it can be hard to think about what's going to happen to your body after you die, let alone donating your organs and tissue. But being an organ donor is a generous and worthwhile decision that can be a lifesaver. Understanding organ donation can make you feel better about your choice. If you've delayed your decision to be a donor because of possibly inaccurate information, here are answers to some common organ donation myths and concerns.

MOVIE ANSWER
a) Catherine and her father
They are very close because they live together and have same interest in mathematic. She also takes care of her father for 5 years when her father is sick. Other than that, she still has illusion about her father after her father die.
b) Catherine and her sister
They are not very close because they have different opinion about certain issue. For example Catherine wants to stay at her father house but her sister wants to sell that house so that Catherine can forget her past time. They also always argue for only a small problem.
2) In your opinion, is Catherine a weak or a strong character? Give an example of her behavior.
I think Catherine is a strong character based on this movie. We can see at the end of this movie which is Catherine is not followed her sister back to New York City. She also tells the truth about her father history in front of many people at church. Other than that, she also tells Hal and her sister that she is the one who wrote that book.
3) What does she mean when say “If I could go back to the beginning, I could start over again.
I could go line by line. Try and find a shorter way. I could try to make it better. She feel regret on what she have done.
4) What do you think the movie trying to tell us? Give a proverb the best suits the movie storyline.Explain your choice.
The best proverb is where the will is, there’s the way. Although Catherine not so interested on mathematic, but she has talent and she try her best to use that talent optimumly.

There are lots of ways that we can take to improve reading habit.First of all government or non government organization (NGO) are advice to spend more money on reading campaign. To attract more people to read more both side need to cooperate. They can make mascot for that campaign. Besides, they also can do competition like synopsis competition.First, competitors need to read the reading materials and next describe what the writers want to tell.
Mobile library also is one of a good suggestion that should we take in order to improve reading habit. The mobile library have to visit all location especially rural area. All the books in that mobile library need to be updated. People can borrow books from this mobile library and send back that books when the mobile library come again.moreover, government through school are encourage to give free newspaper, magazine or article to students. For example, ' Perpustakaan Negara' give free newspaper to people who come to 'Perpustakaan Negara'. Therefore, the reading habit among Malaysian can be improve.
As i said before, we not only can read books but we also can read other reading materials. We can download more reading material from internet gadget like handset,PDA,ipod and so on. As we all known, movie especially, before it had been launch it need to be commercial by media. Why not we do the same thing to books like storybooks novel and magazine. We can do commercial by give the synopsis. When people know the synopsis, they will more attract to buy and read it.
Furthermore, we also can launch a reading corner in shopping complex. This is a good idea to encourage Malaysian to read more.the entrance of this reading corner is free and all of their reading materials always should be updated at least once a month. The book that provide there also variety whether for children or adult.
If all Malaysian have their afford to do all those suggestions may be we can improve the reading habit among Malaysian. This is more depend on individual whether they want to change their habit or not.

MALAYSIAN AS A READING SOCIETY
If I have to compare the awareness of Malaysians towards the importance of reading now and then, the current situation is better than the previous one. In average, an individual read two books per year. Still, Malaysians cannot be proud of this number. We still have citizens who not able to read and write. Let us compare to another Asian country, Japan for instance, the rate of people who cannot read in the country is 0%! Something must be done to change Malaysian into a reading society.
For working people, a library at the office does make sense because they always complained that they do not have time to spend for reading. By providing a library, the staff can sit and read during their free time especially lunch time. To raise the interest in reading, each worker has to give comment on books he or she has read on the blog. The access to internet should not be a problem since every company has provided the facility such as wireless connection. Once they had post comment on the blog, the company will save the records that the particular worker had post it. What the employers can do is give “reading allowance” to them based on how much books they have read.
As for the children, it is easier to cultivate or to raise the interest in reading since they are easily being influenced. We can use a mascot as an ambassador for reading campaign in order to attract children to read. The mascot can attract children’s attention to buy or borrow books because the children will fid it more fun to read while being entertained by the mascot. The mascot will also help to give out free books sponsored by school to the school children. As they grow up, they will make reading as a habit.
By these ways, I hope Malaysians can cooperate and help to cultivate the interest in reading in each individual. The identity of a country is reflected by its citizen. The reading society will make individuals are updated and informative. Malaysians may help the country by contributing ideas and energy towards Malaysia as a civilised country corresponding of the development of our country.
Thank you.
HOW TO IMPROVE READING HABIT BETWEEN MALAYSIAN
We should always have a book around.Do not go anywhere without reading materials.
Keep magazines or short stories in your bathroom. Always have something in your briefcase to read. Keep a book by your bed. Having things available makes it easier for you to steal otherwise lost moments. This will make you to save time.
Next, set a reading goal. Setting a goal is the first step towards reading more. Determine how much time you want to spend reading, or how many books you want to read over time. Your goal might be a book a month, one per week, or it might be to read 30 minutes a day. Start out with something attainable but still a stretch.Keep a list of the books you have read, or keep track of how much time you read each day. You might keep these lists in your journal or your day planner.
Many people say they just don't have enough time. Television is one of our major time consumers. Make your television watching more conscious and less habitual. There is nothing wrong with watching television shows you really enjoy. Where the time gets lost is turning it on, and scanning to find 'something to watch. Those are the times to turn it off and pick up your book. This is the main weakness point between Malaysians.
Listening also one way of reading. You can use your commute and other time spent in the car to listen. There are great audio versions of all sorts of books. Whether you want to "read" fiction, the latest self-help or diet book, it is probably available on tape. Do not get locked into the idea that you have to read it, listening to the book still gives you the experience, ideas, and imagination that reading a book can.
Other than that, you can join a reading club or group. Reading groups typically meet once a month to discuss a book they have all decided to read. Committing to the group provides a bit more force to finish the book, and gives you a great forum for discussion and socialization around the book's themes. In this group, you may exchange book while exchanging your ideas. Whoever not able to buy some books and read them, they can use this method or can go to library and borrow some.
As a conclusion, there are so many ways to improve our reading habit. All the efforts should come from each individual, not only from the government by doing some campaigns. For all the Malaysians, please think which is good for you. Do not waste your by loitering around, especially for students. Today's youngsters are tomorrow's leaders.

ORGAN DONATION
Organ donation actually gives a lot of benefits. Organ donation gives another chance at life to people who would otherwise die. Organ donation is a beautiful gift that we can make happen. Since eyes can continue seeing and heart continue beating, but someone could die without them. Any person can give a new life to at least five individuals. Your eyes can give valuable sight to two individuals. Like this, your organs too, can breathe life into others.
Before undergoing any such surgery, it’s recommended to consult your doctor about all pros and cons.

answers for movie
(b)Catherine and her sister is not very close. Her sister do not believe her when her sister thought that she is crazy. Her sister concern about her but Catherine not really like her sister.
2) Catherine is a strong character. It's shown when she has her own stand when everyone didn't believe her when she admit that she create the formula. She also willing to take care of her father when everyone said that her father is crazy.
3) The sentence that she said in the movie means that she was very regretted because she didn't tell her father that she had found the mathematics formula. After her father die, she then realized that all that her father was doing that she thought that he was crazy, were actually her father was giving hints for her to solve the mathematics formula. She missunderstand her father and make a decision not to tell her father that she had found the formula. Then her father die dissapointedly without knowing that she already solved the formula.
4) The movie is trying to tell us that don't afraid to take any risks.
The best proverb for this movie is; "The biggest risk in life is not taking one".
I choose this proverb because it suits with Catherine situation in this movie. She afraid to tell her father that she had found the formula because she thought that her father had already found the formula. Then, she realize that her father only give her hints to solve the formula and really want her to make it.She feel very dissapointed because her father die without knowing that she already found the mathematics formula.

Transforming Malaysian Society To The Reading Society
I think that our major problem is that the community is not exposed well to the books that we have in the market. Why don’t we promote books the same way as we promote new movies through the media mass like radio and television? In the commercial, we can give the audience the synopsis of the book to trigger the interest of the viewer to read the story. This is a very good way to acknowledge the people about the books that we have in the bookstore or in the market. This is also a very effective way to catch children intention to buy the books. The commercial maker must be creative in making the commercial so that it will be interesting and manage to steal people eyes. Besides that, another problem that hindrance reading habit to be cultivate in the community is that the price of the books that is too expensive. This will be the problem for those who have low income to buy books. The price of books should be lower. I suggest that we can use recycle papers to make books so that the cost can be reduced and indirectly can save our environment.
Mobile library is also an interesting method that can be done in encouraging our society to read. The mobile library should travel not only to the urban area but also to the countryside including Sabah and Sarawak. This to ensure that all people in Malaysia, no matter where they are, are able to use the service. While traveling, the organizer can held a few activities especially for the children at the countryside area to attract them to read. Free books can be delivers for those who are not able to buy books because of financial problem.
Together with the progression of the technology in our country, electronic book is not impossible to be creates. It is a very convenient way where story from books can be downloaded from the internet into the handphone or PDA or ipod and can be read anywhere. Well, of course, this gave advantage for those who are affordable to have the gadget.
Another interesting way I like to suggest is too convert the story in books to the movie form. I admit that before Harry Potter movie was come out, I never know about the existence of the books. We can do the same to our books. Make sure that the book are publish earlier that the movie. It is more interesting if the story is made in series so that it will enhance the curiosity of the viewer to watch the next series. As they are eager to know the next series after watch the first series of the movie, they will buy the book. Indirectly, reading habit can be cultivated slowly in them.
Last but not least, our writers have to come out with more interesting stories. The stories should not depend most on facts only but also have to have more comedy, fictions and fantasy. This to make people especially kids more interesting to read the books.
For me, it is still not too late to instill reading habit to our community. The government must not give up and have to keep the efforts to achieve the target that is to transform Malaysian society to the reading society. That is all from me. Thank you.

how to improve reading habit
Firstly, ask them to read to you. Many times, children will choose their favourite book and sit down with a parent to read. If they can't pronounce the word, simply be patient and help them sound it out. Let them pick out the book, even if you've read it so many times before.
Secondly, encourage your child to incorporate new words into their vocabulary. This doesn't mean you should expect your five year old to start using big words like "exponential" in their daily discussions. Simply praise your child when they use a new word or teach them a word from a billboard or magazine that they don't know yet.
Then, make reading a part of each day, whether it is at bedtime or after dinner. The more a child reads outside of school, the more they can recognize that reading isn't only for educational purposes. Choose stories that they pick out or you would think they'll enjoy to keep their interest when it's story time.
Then, participate in story time by reading along with your kids. After a certain point, or after you've read the story many times, your children will probably want to read on their own. Encourage them patiently when you read together. This will help them become more confident in their reading skills.
Then, take a bag of books, workbooks and activity books with you when you leave the house with your children. Whether it is a road trip or an appointment, pull a book from your bag instead of plopping your kids in front of the waiting room television or a portable video game. Bring a few of their favourites and surprise them with a new book. It will keep them excited and guessing about what they'll be reading next.
Keep books handy. If you have a collection of books around the house or in your child's room, it makes it so much easier to pick one up and read. Some great places to keep them handy are the diaper bag, bedroom, car and in their toy bin.
If you are able to follow all these steps, you will find that your children will love to read. Reading habit should be start since they are in young ages. So, by starting now, they will grow up to be person who loves to read.

time management
A Time Plan - making the day work for you. Working from home is completely different than working in an outside profession. Not only are you the boss, but you are also the secretary, janitor, accountant and advertising consultant. You run the entire ship; from top to bottom. It is easy to get lost in the trivial work that most company heads have an employee to take care of, such as stuffing envelopes or running errands. It’s not an ideal situation for most, but you can make it work for you if you follow these tips:
You must have a full and complete business plan. I recommend a 5-year plan, one that breaks down goals for each year and how you plan to reach each of those goals. The library is full of books on this subject, check a few out and get that plan down onto paper. You need to visually see where you want to be each year and how you will get there.
Evaluate your time. This can be accomplished by logging each day, for an entire week. From the moment you wake up, until the minute your head hits the pillow, you will note what you did within each waking hour. Include when you getting ready for your day, cooking, cleaning, talking on the phone, working, playing on the Internet and watching TV. At the end of the week, review your journal and highlight the areas of time that you felt weren’t productive. You may often spend too much time watching daytime TV, snacked too often, played solitaire on the computer or put too much into “busy work” (the mundane work that can be put off till later but you do it anyway as a way to make yourself think you’re not procrastinating, when you really are). On an index card write down your biggest time wasters and when you catch yourself doing them, stop and take a deep breath and get working on something from your to-do list.
Try to have one or two “errand days” where you hit all of the places you need to be that week, rather than doing them everyday. Every Monday I run to the post office, the bank, the printers, the library and the office supply store. I have a schedule and I stick to it. I do not leave the house during business hours on any other day unless it is for an outside meeting. By having one day set for errands, I save myself hours of running around town.
Keep an “I did it” list. This corresponds with the to-do list because when you cross off the completed projects from one list, you will add them to the other list. Each week you will not only see what you need to do, but you can pat yourself on your back for what you did do.
Use calendars. Post meetings, to-do’s, project deadlines and other reminders onto the calendar along with personal commitments such as doctor appointments and meetings with the kid's teachers. Calendars are excellent ways to keep your day organized. Use them!
Schedule time for yourself. A stressed out body will give you an unorganized mind. When you do not feel well, you cannot function properly. Daily exercise and/or stretching will energize you and help to boost your energy and productivity. Also try deep breathing, candles, mood music, and adequate sleep, vitamins, drinking lots of water and sitting in the great outdoors during lunchtime.
Last but not least, when you're organizing your time and your business, be sure to put aside some time for relaxation. Make time for your family. You must not involve yourself in anything to an extent that you exclude other people - particularly your loved ones - from your life. Taking stock of the time you waste each day, and from there, reorganizing your activities is what it's all about. It's a matter of becoming more efficient in the use of your time. It's really easy to do, and you will not only accomplish a lot more, you will also find greater fulfilment in your life.

The Reading Habits Among Uniersity Students.................................................................By Bee Hwa
When colleagues of the English interview prospective students for the B.A. in English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS) programme, the colleagues always seem to ask about their reading habits. The colleagues constantly probe into the fabric of interweaving factors of their reading dimension hoping that they will elaborate on their favourite books and authors and comment on their leisure reading interests. During the interviews, the colleagues discovered that many of the students read very little and seem uncomfortable when asked about their reading interests, citing the usual reasons of the lack of time and access to reading materials to account for the little time spent on this activity.
How much do Malaysians read? According to the last National Literacy Survey carried out in 1996 by the National Library, the average Malaysian reads only two books a year! This is an improvement compared to an earlier survey in 1982 which revealed that an average Malaysian read a mere page or two a year. The Sunday Star newspaper reports that "the poor reading habits among Malaysians was common knowledge but, in true Malaysian fashion, it took an official survey to jolt the education sector that something had to be done fast." When the survey findings hit the headlines, the Education Ministry came up with the NILAM programme in 1998 to nurture the reading habit among school children. In this reading project, students are awarded marks for the number of books they read and the Education Ministry has suggested an award ranking system for primary and secondary schools. However, many schools have yet to start the programme and those that have are still in the infancy stage. Various reasons for setbacks in the implementation of this reading programme have been cited, among which include the recent economic downturn making a national launch impossible. Many teachers have also expressed confusion about the concept and are unsure about implementing it in their schools.
Studies in the past have shown that the exam-oriented educational system in Malaysia promotes rote learning and that there needs to be a paradigm shift in how we view education and about the way we teach. The Education Minster, Datuk Najib Tun Razak, has frequently commented in the local media that most students read only to pass exams and do not read for pleasure. He has been instrumental in implementing many projects aimed at improving students’ reading ability in the country. Reading skills are important through out our lifespan, particularly as we respond to new demands and changes in jobs and reading for pleasure or recreational has been found to improve reading comprehension, writing style, vocabulary, spelling and grammatical development. The positive and rewarding effects of recreational reading have been demonstrated in numerous studies.
Over the past over the past twenty years, increasing numbers of Malaysians have enrolled in institutions of higher learning in the country. Admission decisions are usually made on the basis of the applicants’ academic performance in standardised national exams like the ‘A’ levels or the STPM. Hence, identifying the reading habits of university students will have tremendous significance on the local universities and for the students themselves. Most attempts to predict the academic performance of local university students have not focused on the students’ reading habits. As Stoynoff notes,"academic success is likely a multidimensional phenomenon that includes language proficiency, learning and study strategies, and certain personal characteristics." The intent of the present study is to investigate the students’ reading habits and their perceptions of their reading ability. We have defined reading habits as regular tendencies in reading behaviour.
READING- ISN’T INTEREST?
One of the biggest challenges facing by the government to produce this ‘reading community’ in Malaysia is low interest in reading among the public. Thus, we must create the reading culture among the children between 3 to 12 years old. The encouragement, support and passion of the parents are really needed to make this a reality. Parents should prepare enough reading material like story books, magazines and others at their home. They may also prepare a mini library at their home where they can spend time together.
The writer and publisher also need to play their role to produce a good and interesting reading material. They should not only focus on the fact, but they may add some illustration, comedy and opinion on their artwork. This may gain interest among the public to read it.
Another interesting system is by producing an electronic book known as E-book. Reader may download any story and article they want from the internet. Besides reduce the budget getting the expensive book, they also may save their time and energy.
Moreover, Malaysia should produce more movies based on the existing book or novel or vise versa. I believe this method may increase the interest of reading because the public want to know more about the story.
For the rural areas, a moveable library should be introduced. This library has to bring adequate book and visit the area at least once a week.
More reading competition with interesting prize has to be done all over the country and involved people from different ages. This system is like the NILAM program done in the school but it is more over wide.
And last but not least, the government has to prepare reading materials for the those who was unable to buy its. To make sure this group is not left behind, different kinds of books, magazines, newspapers have to distribute to them without any charge.
As educationalists continue to hunt for the secret to the ‘magic portion’ to produce a best leader in Malaysia, the answer is reading. A ‘reading community’ has to be built in Malaysia in order to achieve Wawasan 2020.

THE FACTUAL OF ORGAN DONATION...
In numerical terms, donations from dead donors far outweigh donations by living ones. The laws of different countries allow either the potential organ donor to consent or dissent to the donation during his or her life time, or allow the potential donor's relatives to consent or dissent. Due to cultural issues and different legislative possibilities, the number of donations per million people varies substantially in different countries.
The success rates of transplant surgery have improved remarkably, but growing shortages exist in the supply of organs and tissues available for transplantation. Many Americans who need transplants cannot get them because of these shortages. The result: some of these people die while waiting for that "Gift of Life."
This surgical replacement of a patient's diseased or damaged organ with a healthy organ from a living or deceased donor, is generally a last resort for patients in the final stages of illness. Even so, there are far more people seeking transplants than there are doner organs available. In the U.S., more than 75,000 people are on the waiting list for transplants; only 1 in 4 will receive them in time to save their lives. This shortage has raised several practical and moral issues, such as how to increase the organ supply and how to distribute scarce organs.
So, in conclusion, all of us need to be more awared abou this topics, who knows, maybe because of our awareness, many life could be saved……….

READING??THE WAY MUST BE IMPROVED!
reading process is not simple in its nature. It does not merely
involve recognizing a single character and pronouncing it
correctly or to recognize and pronounce a few characters that
are arranged in a particular manner, but more importantly it is
the ability to understand the meaning of these arrangement.
In order to make Malaysia known as a developed country with people of a first-class mentality in 2020, the Government should emphasise on producing a knowledgeable nation. It is not impossible to make Malaysia a country well known for its remarkable development. All we have to do is acquire sufficient knowledge to compete globally. One can’t deny that knowledge is a weapon. Parents should inculcate the reading habit in young minds. I strongly believe that with sufficient knowledge one can make a significant contribution to the country.
PROMOTING the reading habit among schoolchildren can encourage them to learn more than what is taught in school.German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) managing director Yusoff Md Sahir said this at a ceremony held recently in Kuala Lumpur to mark the institution's participation in the The Star's Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) programme. Gaining knowledge through the newspaper will allow students to reflect and discuss issues and events that are taking place locally and internationally.
The love for reading can be instilled even before birth. Parents play a vital role both in providing prenatal care and in introducing the child to numbers, the alphabet and words. Early exposure to these aspects develops reading skills during formation and childhood years and continues with education and schooling. The interest in reading is carried through to adulthood. Hence, the love for books and reading should be fostered and nurtured even before birth.
Among the activities can be organised for adults and youths are Writing Workshops, Talks on Reading, 'Meet the Author' Sessions, Discussions/Forums on Books, Speed Reading, Newspapers- in-Literacy Workshops, Poetry Appreciation, On-line Information Search Workshops, Elocution Contests, Traditional Theatre Workshops, seminars, exhibitions, etc.Children's activities include Story-telling Sessions, Drawing, Handicraft, Puppetry, Theatre, Information Search Contests, Computer Camps, Creative Illustration of Storybook Competitions, 'Meet the Author' Sessions, Talks on Motivation, Quizzes, Debates, Workshops on Online Search, etc..All these activities are related to reading and making use of reading materials available in the library. Through these activities we aim to instill the love for books among the participants and to develop the reading habit. This will all help us to be more interesting in reading

Punctuality.......need to be improved....
Many people run late because they suddenly realize, in a mad rush, that there are so many things that must be done before they can leave. Which tasks or activities prevent you from being on time? Which tasks or activities can you defer to a later time, and which can you tackle at an earlier time? Consider, for example, what you commonly do before leaving for work in the morning. You have to pick out what you'll wear and then grab it out of the dryer, brush your hair and teeth, cut up some fruit for breakfast, get the cookbooks back in their proper place and organized the way you like them, etc.
Beside that, we need to make the effort to observe the average duration of your commute. If your route is unfamiliar, give yourself extra time than what your mind tells you is sufficient. Watch the weather and traffic reports. Beneath all of the bafflement and lack of progress is a genuinely different perception of time itself. Ask a friend to tell you the time without looking at a watch. If you've got a problem being punctual, I bet her estimation is more accurate than yours.
Lastly, make punctuality a priority. As much as I told myself and others that I could never figure out why I was late all the time, I ultimately came to terms with perhaps the most fundamental reason for my tardiness: I hadn't made punctuality a priority. My de-emphasis had become a handicap. And yet I knew that, to many important people in my life, the tardiness conveyed a lack of consideration for them and their time. Everyone else manages to be on time most of the time, right? They do so by making the effort to plan ahead, manage their time, consider commute factors like weather, and examine their own personal time-wasting propensities. You can do all this, too. The important people in your life are waiting for you to do it.
Maybe you're on time for every important business and social function in your life, but if you've read this far, my guess is that you're more like I've always been - your intentions are good, and yet, to your surprise, you never seem to achieve punctuality. But don't resign yourself to a future of constant tardiness. By replacing bad habits with good habits, you can become that punctual friend, coworker and family member you've always wanted to be.

There are various ways of people managing their own time. What you really manage is your activity during time, and defining outcomes and physical actions required is the core process required to manage what you do. However, what we can observe is the poor time management among the Malaysians. For example, late arrival of VIP to particular ceremony is considered as “tradition” in
To manage your time handy, first you have to know what causes you to be late. Definitely, if you want to be punctual, combating procrastination is one of the thing that you have do at first. The key to controlling and ultimately combating this destructive habit is to recognize when you start procrastinating, understand why it happens and take active steps to better manage your time and outcomes. If you are honest toward yourself, you will discover when you are procrastinating. Next, it’s time for the peer pressure to work! You can ask someone else to check up on you. This is the principle behind slimming and other self-help groups, and it is widely recognized as a highly effective approach. You have to identify the right priorities, and manage your time in such a way that you make the most of the opportunities open to you.
Besides, the key of efficiency- to-do list is an effective way of managing time well. To-Do Lists are prioritized lists of all the tasks that you need to carry out. They list everything that you have to do, with the most important tasks at the top of the list, and the least important tasks at the bottom. By keeping a To-Do List, you make sure that you capture all of the tasks you have to complete in one place. This is essential if you're not going to forget things. And by prioritizing work, you plan the order in which you'll do things, so you can tell what needs your immediate attention. This is essential if you're going to beat work overload. Without To-Do Lists, you'll seem dizzy, unfocused and unreliable to the people around you. With To-Do Lists, you'll be much better organized, and will seem much more reliable.
Prioritization, a skill that makes sure that you make best use of time and resources. It is particularly important when time is limited and demands are seemingly unlimited. It helps you to allocate your time where it is most-needed and most wisely spent. You can bring order to chaos, massively reduce stress, and move towards a successful conclusion with appropriate prioritization. You can prioritize based on time constraints, on the potential profitability or benefit of the task you're facing. By doing so, your time will not be wasted on unimportant tasks which may delay your time.
Other than prioritization, scheduling is the process by which you look at the time available to you, and plan how you will use it to achieve the goals you have identified. When you are creating your own timetable, you have to understand what you can realistically achieve with your time, plan to make the best use of the time available, leave enough time for things you absolutely must do and preserve contingency time to handle 'the unexpected. By doing so, time management will not become a problem for you.
In conclusion, investing in these time management activities will actually save you time, helping you work smarter, not harder. A good time management is a key to efficiency and success in life. Thus, learn how to manage your time well start from now on.
MANAGE YOUR TIME!
Why is time management so important? Time is the most important commodity. Time never comes back. It never rewinds like videotape. As we know, we can easily get money but we cannot get more time as time will never return! Here, there are some common reasons that make time is really so important. First and foremost, time cannot be stored. Everyone no matter how rich or poor spends time the same way, it doesn't speed up for the rich and slow down for the poor. Time management is equal to wise usage of time. This may be the difference between fame and failure. Then, Time is rare! Yes, everybody has the same number of hours, but haven't you noticed that people are complaining that they don't have enough of it? There is just “so little time and so much to do” that people go out of focus. Time management means giving importance to priorities and nearer deadlines and these give you enough for the crucial activities in life.
Third, time is needed for everything. Everything takes time; everything needs time to materialize. With time management, each task is given enough time to be finished. By giving a sliver of time for each of your goals and accounting for it wisely, you will be able to achieve them, plus make time for rest. Truth is, even little time produces work. If distributed wisely throughout the day or week, you would be surprised to how much you can accomplish. Time management helps you finish more jobs with less effort. By allotting a certain amount of time for each activity, you don’t have to worry about the next thing that you will do. With time management, you become more organized and the things you do become more habitual than panic-driven. By making it a habit, you become more productive. As Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit. ”
In modern times, each product, place, or gadget has minute differences that make it very hard for you to choose. There are so many opportunities to choose from as to what to do with your time. By having a plan, you will be able to make intelligent choices. By becoming more conscious of the available time and the choices you've made so far, you focus more on your priorities rather than useless work.
So effective time management is more than just making up a “to do” list. Effective time management is really the art, the science and the practice of gaining better control, not absolute control, over the entire twenty-four hours in every day because the simple truth is, if you’re not in control of your time, they are. Your job will take all of your time if you let it. Your friends and family will take all your time if you let them. It doesn’t make any of those influences bad, it’s just that, if there is a void of leadership in your time management day, lots of outside influences will step up to lead where you fail and that will not create the balanced, productive life you so richly deserve. Time management is indeed a gem. But, once it becomes a habit, it will be more beneficial than time-consuming.

TIME MANAGEMENT
Do you know what time is? Time is a moment, seconds, minutes, hour, day or year as shown in our watches, clocks and calendars. If time is important, valuable, or precious, then we must not waste it. We must make use of it every second, every hour, every day of our life. Every second counts.
Tardiness, is truly a problem for some people who lack the skills in time-management. Being late is not exclusive on matters of attendance. This factor is also one of the top-most things that are being considered in gauging performance, specifically when it comes to the timely submission or completion of the assigned tasks.
With the proper time-management techniques, tardiness can be effectively eliminated. There are two things that matter in wise time-management:
1) time allocation and
2) time awareness.
1) TIME ALLOCATION. Allocate your time depending on your priorities. Being late for several times a month or worse several times a week does not leave a good impression. You have to know what your priorities are. Spend more time on the things that you really need to accomplish and reduce your time spent on less important things like partying, watching television or going to the movies very late at night, long chit chat with friends or boyfriends/girlfriends, etc. It is not that you have to leave a life of boredom and isolation, but the point is wise time allocation really matters. If you perceived that you might possibly stay up late because you have to finish some activities, then, just make sure that will wake up the next day by the time that you exactly set. Otherwise, go get enough sleep. Conserve your energy so that you will be able to wake up early and be at school or work early.
2) TIME AWARENESS. After setting you priorities and allocating your time, you have to set a deadline for yourself. If you say that I should be able to finish dinner preparation by 7:00 PM, then finish the preparation by 7:00 PM, or much better if you will be able to have it done before 7:00 PM. If your goal is to finish your homework by 10:30 PM, then cut your hands off the PlayStation and start with your homework. If you say that you should be able to submit the report to your Boss before lunch then do everything within your means to beat your own deadline.
These things may be difficult to implement at the start. However, if you will only give them a try, punctuality at all times will be guaranteed. Many people will notice the big improvement and you yourself will surely feel the big satisfaction on what you have achieved.
So dear friends, make use of every second, every moment, every day of your life as you grow older. Do things that need to be done.
ORGAN DONATION - Living organ Donor by Thu Siew Ching – A122363
Organs that can be procured include the heart, intestines, kidneys, lungs, liver, pancreas. These are procured from a brain dead donor or a donor where the family has consent for donation after cardiac death, known as non-heart-beating donation. The following tissues can be procured: bones, tendons, corneas, heart valves, femoral veins, great saphenous veins, small saphenous veins, pericardium, skin grafts, and the sclera (the tough, white outer coating surrounding the eye). These are only procured after death. Organs that can be donated from living donors include part of the liver or pancreas and the kidney.
An organ transplant is the moving of a whole or partial organ from one body to another (or from a donor site on the patient's own body), for the purpose of replacing the recipient's damaged or failing organ with a working one from the donor site.
I would like to discuss about living organ donation. For your information, living organ donation has become a common source of organs for those in need of organ transplantation, usually a kidney, bone marrow, and sometimes the portion of a liver. Less common is donation of a portion of a lung or small intestine. There are thousands of living donors in the US and around the world every year.
Many people consider becoming donors when they hear about relatives and/or friends in desperate need of an organ transplant but have no idea what donation entails or where to go for information. And now, with the less invasive surgery for live donors and the new anti-rejection drug protocols that have been perfected in the last couple of years, most potential recipients do not know the most current details, either. Also, many in need of a transplant are afraid to approach family and friends about becoming potential donors because of this lack of information.
One of the latest developments in living organ donation is the creation of programs for altruistic, living non-directed donation. These programs accept living donors who are not related to or friends of the organ recipient. These donors are people who understand the need for organs and want to help by donating to a someone on the waiting list.
"How do I become a living donor?" In general, the answer is as follows:
• First check with family and friends to see if there is anyone who needs an organ transplant. Donations most frequently are between people who know each other because they are relatives, friends, or affiliated through religious or social groups.
• If you don't find someone that way, contact the nearest transplant center, usually the closest teaching hospital. You can find transplant centers by visiting this web site: ustransplant.org. Ask if the transplant center has an anonymous or "nondirected" donor program. Some transplant centers have formal programs, some don't. If they do, ask how you can participate. If they don't, ask for suggestions on how you can become an anonymous donor elsewhere.
• If you would like to donate a kidney, an option similar to the second item above is to sign up for one of the living donor registries in the US. You can find the registries on this web page: Living Donors Online Kidney Links. Look in the "Living Donor Registries" section for information and links to web sites with more information.
• A final possibility is to post a message in the "Looking For..." section of the Living Donors Online message board. Please make sure you read the first three messages in that section of the message board before posting a message of your own. You should also be aware that many transplant centers in the US have a policy of not accepting donors who met potential recipients via the Internet.
In short, organ donation is very meaningful. Hence, i would like to urge all of you who have read my article to be an organ donor, no matter living donor or non-living donor. Thank you!!

ORGAN DONATION, WAY TO SAVE LIFE
There are many organs which can be donated. Organs that can be procured are including the heart, intestines, kidneys, lungs, liver, and pancreas. These are procured from a brain dead donor or a donor where the family has consent for the donation after the cardiac death, known as Non-heart beating donation. Organ that can be donated from living donors are include part of the livers, pancreas and the kidneys.
Many controversial issues regarding to the organ donation as well. For example, the used of alcoholics in order to allocate the organ between the patients. Some believe that livers should not be given to alcoholics in danger of reversion, while others view alcoholisms as medical condition like diabetes. Faith in the medical system is important to the success of organ donation. Because of this issue, Brazil switched to on opt-out systems and ultimately had to withdraw it because it further alienated patients who already distrusted the country’s medical system.
From social perspective, as well, organ donation is fast becoming an important bioethical issue. While most first-world nations have a legal system of oversight for organ transplantation, the fact remains that demand for outstrips supply. Consequently, there has arisen a black market often referred to as transplant tourism.
The issues are weighty and controversial. On the one hand are those who contend that those who can afford to buy organs are exploiting those who are desperate enough to sell their organs. This is really happen! Many suggest this result in growing inequality of status between the rich and the poor. On the other hand are those who contend that the desperate should be allowed to sell their organs, that stopping them are merely contributing to their status as impoverished.
In short, this issue regarding to organ donation is too sensitive, touched the religious, political, and many more. No matter what, organ donation is very important, as acts of charity and as means of saving a life. The demand for organ donation in everywhere is always higher relative to the number of the recipient on organ donation waiting list. All these controversial issues are not the best solution to solve this matter. That is, every clouds has it’s silver lining, and the point is, organ donation, really is to save life.
