1a) Catherine and her father are very close to each other. Catherine takes good care of her father when he was ill.
1b) Catherine dislikes her sister. they always quarrel when meet and they do not seem to trust each other.
2 In our opinion,Catherine is a strong character. She drops off study to care about her father for five years. Even her father is under a bad condition, she has to stand with her father weird behavior.
3 Catherine should let her father know that she has done the mathematical theory. Her life will be in a different way. She maybe will become a famous mathematics in future life. This is the shorter and better way for her.
4 We should be strong and trust ourselves.Everything should be done line by line so that we will not regret. For Catherine, she should prove that she could be able to make the theory but not give up easily when people around her do not believe her. The proverb which is best to described tis movie is where there is life, there is a hope.
