1) Describe the relationship between:
a) Catherine and her father

They are very close because they live together and have same interest in mathematic. She also takes care of her father for 5 years when her father is sick. Other than that, she still has illusion about her father after her father die.

b) Catherine and her sister

They are not very close because they have different opinion about certain issue. For example Catherine wants to stay at her father house but her sister wants to sell that house so that Catherine can forget her past time. They also always argue for only a small problem.

2) In your opinion, is Catherine a weak or a strong character? Give an example of her behavior.

I think Catherine is a strong character based on this movie. We can see at the end of this movie which is Catherine is not followed her sister back to New York City. She also tells the truth about her father history in front of many people at church. Other than that, she also tells Hal and her sister that she is the one who wrote that book.

3) What does she mean when say “If I could go back to the beginning, I could start over again.

I could go line by line. Try and find a shorter way. I could try to make it better.She feel regret on what she have done.

4) What do you think the movie trying to tell us? Give a proverb the best suits the movie storyline.Explain your choice.

The best proverb is where the will is, there’s the way. Although Catherine not so interested on mathematic, but she has talent and she try her best to use that talent optimumly.
