Do you know what is organ donation? Organ donation is the removal of the tissues of the human body from a person who has recently died, or from a living donor, for the purpose of transplanting. Transplantation is an operation which involves the replacement of diseased and defective organs & tissues with healthy ones from donors. This treatment helps save lives of people. Organ and tissue donation is the ultimate humanitarian act of charity.
Organs that can be donated from donor are heart, intestine, kidney, lungs, liver, and pancreas. Organs that can be donated from living donors include part of the liver or pancreas and the kidney. The organs of the body that can be transplanted at the current time are kidneys, heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, and the intestines. For your information, kidney/pancreas transplants, heart/lung transplants, and other combined organ transplants also are performed. All of those organs cannot be stored and must be used within hours of removing them from the donor's body. Arrangement for funeral can be made as in any case of death. Following of the removal of the organs or tissues, the body will be clean and draped and return to the family within the shortest possible time. Moreover, there are no objection from any religion. But we have to inform our family member first if we wish to donate our organ.
So all of your decision are depend on you. Many life could be saved if more people became organ and tissue donors. It’s a right thing to do. Therefore, I hope all the information that I gave can change the point of view among people in the world towards the organ donation. Lastly, make the gift of life be useful to the end.
